Frequently Asked Questions

Where exactly are you located?
Our rooftop office is at 900 Alice Street, Oakland, California 94607. We are close to Lincoln Square Park and nearby restaurants, groceries, and gas stations, making our location very convenient.
How can I get there? Any public transports? Any place for my car?
If you are coming from Uptown Oakland, take a bus at Lake Merritt BART. After 8 stops, jump off at 7th Street corner Harrison Street. Turn left onto Harrison Street and then turn right onto 9th Street. Finally, turn left on Alice Street. Our building is near East Bay Antique. For those who will come via private vehicle, you can set your GPS to either Lincoln Square Park or Lincoln Elementary School. If you drive by 10th Street, you will see Alice Street in between Alice Street Bakery Cafe and East Bay Antique.
What do you mean by high speed Internet?
Every Skylab member gets a dedicated cable for the Internet. To ensure the connection is fast, stable, and reliable we’re working with two completely independent Internet providers; each with their own infrastructure. This means that if the connections to one provider are lost, we will still have the Internet. As a backup for the worst-case scenario, we also have an LTE connection.
